Oncology - Hemangiosarcoma Grants
The Oncology - Hemangiosarcoma Research Program Area is designed to gain a better understanding of the biology and progression of this disease with the goal to design new and effective approaches to treatment. Since hemangiosarcoma is often not detected or diagnosed until the later stages of the disease, there is a focus for developing advanced diagnostics as well as therapeutic interventions. Hemangiosarcoma is of major concern to the AKC Canine Health Foundation and has prompted the establishment of an Hemangiosarcoma Research Initiative to uniquely address this disease.
