American Kennel Club
In 1995, the American Kennel Club (AKC) envisioned a better future for all dogs - a future in which many debilitating canine diseases would be conquered through promising health research. In order to accomplish this goal, the American Kennel Club founded the AKC Canine Health Foundation as an independent non-profit charity. The AKC’s commitment, foresight, and continued financial leadership have led to unprecedented Foundation initiatives to champion groundbreaking research to prevent, treat and cure canine disease.
