Dr. Berry completed his veterinary degree, a rotating small animal medicine and surgery internship, and medical oncology residency at the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine. He is also a doctoral candidate in the Department of Pathobiology at the University of Illinois. His research interests involve canine osteosarcoma (bone cancer) and glioma (a type of brain cancer). His fellowship research will focus on the effects of combining a known cancer cell apoptosis inducer with radiation therapy as treatment for a variety of canine cancers.

Dr. Berry hopes to remain in academia to treat patients, conduct translational research, foster the research interests of his students, and teach veterinary oncology.

Help Future Generations of Dogs

Participate in canine health research by providing samples or by enrolling in a clinical trial. Samples are needed from healthy dogs and dogs affected by specific diseases.
