Intervertebral disc disease (IVDD) is one of the most common spinal diseases in dogs, often leading to pain, nerve damage, and even paralysis. Surgery can help restore mobility, but managing pain is a major challenge. While breeds like Dachshunds and French bulldogs are most at risk, many other can also suffer. This study will test whether using a safe and well-established procedure (epidural injections) can improve comfort, reduce drug side effects, and speed recovery after surgery.
Better pain relief means wagging tails sooner after IVDD surgery.
