This project focuses on hypercortisolism, also known as Cushing’s, which impacts many middle-aged to older dogs. We want to look into the effects of hypercortisolism on the kidneys to help predict which dogs with Cushing’s will continue to lose protein in their urine after 1 year of treatment. We will use this information in the future to see if these dogs need additional medications to decrease their risk of kidney disease later in life.
