Canine Sports Medicine & Rehabilitation Residency Program
This program supports the residency training of veterinarians seeking to attain board certification in the field of canine sports medicine and rehabilitation through the American College of Veterinary Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation (ACVSMR).
Purpose of this Residency Program
This program aims to support training specialists equipped to meet the unique needs of athletic and working dogs, as well as all dogs in need of rehabilitation for conditions like arthritis and neurological impairments. Priority is placed on training the next generation of canine sports medicine specialists in evidence-based medicine. Faculty mentors will provide clinical training, didactic education, and research opportunities, preparing residents for ACVSMR board certification.
Who is Eligible
Applicants must be board-certified ACVSMR diplomates affiliated with an accredited ACVSMR residency program. They should be committed to training residents to become proficient clinicians, mentoring research to foster evidence-based medicine, and supporting the board certification process.
Faculty Mentor
Board-certified ACVSMR diplomates at an institution with an accredited program in the specialty.
