Grantee Responsibilities
As a grantee of the AKC Canine Health Foundation, you are responsible for ensuring compliance with the grant agreement terms, overseeing the project, monitoring performance, and adhering to objectives, schedules, communications, and other requirements.
What Happens After Funding is Awarded?
Once your grant is awarded, a clear framework of responsibilities ensures effective project management and alignment with funding goals. Each phase includes steps to maintain transparency, accountability, and successful project delivery. Visit the grant lifecycle page below for more details.
What is a Grant Reporting Template and How to Use it?
A grant reporting template helps recipients provide clear updates on project progress and outcomes. By following the template, attaching required documents, and submitting on time, grantees ensure transparency, track funding impact, and uphold accountability to CHF and its stakeholders.
Reporting Requirements
Grantees must submit periodic progress and final reports, detailing milestones, challenges, and outcomes. Any changes to the principal investigator, key personnel, institution, or research protocols must be reported using the appropriate templates.
Financial Guidelines
Proper financial management is critical. Expenditures must align with the approved budget, and financial reports should be maintained and submitted as outlined in the grant agreement. Budget amendments or reallocations require approval.
No-Cost Extensions
If additional time is needed to complete your project, you may request a no-cost extension by submitting a formal request with justification before the grant expires. Extensions ensure project goals are met without additional funding.
Acknowledgment and Publication Guidelines
Acknowledge your grant in all related publications and presentations using the language provided in the funding agreement. Please notify CHF of major publications and share results to advance canine health science.
