Contributing Back to CHF and the Community

We ask that you keep us informed if your research leads to media coverage, heartwarming stories, or any significant findings that illustrate the impact of your work. These stories showcase progress in canine health research and inspire future investments.

Always attribute CHF in any publications, presentations, or media related to your research. This recognition communicates the vital role CHF plays in advancing canine health research and encourages further investments in research. Please check your grant agreement for specific attribution guidelines.

Grant Reporting and Progress

When are payments made for my grant?

Payments are scheduled 45 days after a Progress Report is submitted to allow time for review and approval. Progress Reports are due every six months during the grant term. The Principal Investigator (PI) will receive an email notification when reports are due.

All Progress and Final Reports are now submitted online. Please log in to the Grantee Portal with the same credentials used to submit your application (your email address). If you have forgotten your password, please use the “Forgot Password” feature to reset it.

In this section, we are looking for a high-level summary of how your research contributes to veterinary science and canine health. This should focus on the broader impact of the findings, rather than detailing individual results, which can be included in the scientific report section.

The Lay Summary should be written for a general audience, including donors and non-scientific supporters. It should clearly describe the research, its purpose, and its potential impact in simple, accessible language. We want people to have a clear and memorable understanding of what the project is about and why it matters.

If you’re unable to submit your report by the due date, please contact the Grants Manager via email to request an extension.

If additional time is needed for the financial report, the Office of Sponsored Programs or relevant contacts from your institution should communicate directly with the CHF Programs team, or this can be noted during contract negotiation.
