Direct Your Impact

When you direct your donations, you’re not just giving, you’re choosing to fund specific research or canine health topics. Your Donor Advised Fund held at CHF is a powerful tool that allows you to steer your support towards the areas that matter most to you as an individual or breed organization.

A DAF allows you to guide your support towards CHF-funded grants or research programs whenever you choose. You have the flexibility to allocate funds to the specific areas or projects that align with your philanthropic goals. Simply contact chf@akcchf.org or call 888-682-9696 to explore a portfolio of impactful projects or complete a research sponsorship form to receive regular updates on your chosen research. These updates can be shared with your community, further amplifying the impact of your support.

The initial contribution required to create a Donor Advised Fund at CHF is $10,000. Once the fund is established, you can make additional contributions in any amount, allowing you to continue supporting canine health research in a flexible and impactful way.

Some of the key features of Donor Advised Funds at CHF include:

  • Contributions can be restricted to health research that advances the health of a particular breed.
  • Contributions can be restricted to health research that focuses on specific diseases or groups of diseases.
  • The Foundation may seek the donor’s advice on which research to support with restricted contributions.
  • Multiple contributions can be accepted from clubs and individuals.
  • Interest may be earned on the total balance of the fund.
  • Donations to the Foundation are tax-deductible

Your DAF grows at CHF and your participation in the Purina Parent Club Partnership Program (PPCPP) maximizes those efforts, increasing your impact and investment in canine health. Purina tracks proof of purchase submissions for Pro Club®  members, and one-half of each club’s annual proof of purchase earnings is issued directly to CHF to support research.
