Jamie Douglas, DVM, MS (CHF Grant 03232-E)
Mentor: Dalen Agnew, DVM, PhD, DACVP: Michigan State University
Dr. Douglas received her veterinary degree from Michigan State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2014. She earned a master's degree in animal science from Southern Illinois University Carbondale's College of Agricultural Sciences in 2015, after which she returned to Michigan State University for a veterinary anesthesia internship. She then completed a master’s degree in developmental biology and an AKC/AKCCHF/TF Small Animal Theriogenology Residency at Auburn University.
Dr. Douglas’ research focuses on understanding the molecular pathways that cause placental dysfunction, specifically G-protein coupled receptors. Understanding aberrations in this pathway could lead to new treatments for numerous canine reproductive conditions.
This fellowship is generously sponsored by the Orthopedic Foundation for Animals (OFA).
