Dr. Wendy Ware is a Professor in the Departments of Veterinary Clinical Sciences and Biomedical Sciences, Iowa State University, and Staff Cardiologist at the ISU Veterinary Teaching Hospital. She trained at the Ohio State University and is Board certified in Veterinary Cardiology. Dr. Ware has served as clinical cardiologist and instructor of cardiology and cardiovascular physiology in the College of Veterinary Medicine at Iowa State for many years. She has written over 110 articles and book chapters and has presented over 185 hours of continuing education talks. Dr. Ware has just published a highly illustrated textbook: Cardiovascular Disease in Small Animal Medicine, (Manson Publishing; distributed in the US by Blackwell). She also is currently serving as the Chairperson of the Board of Regents for the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine.
