Following veterinary school, she obtained her Masters Degree at the University of Bern in Switzerland for her research in canine vaccines and virology. After working in pathology and research for several years, Dr. Casal went on to working mainly in small but also some large animal reproduction at the University of Zurich for four years, where she developed her interest in pediatrics.
