Dr. Cynda Crawford received both her DVM and her PhD in Immunology/Infectious Disease from the University of Florida. Dr. Crawford's interests include diagnosis, treatment, management, and prevention of infectious diseases in dogs and cats in sheltering facilities. Her current focus is the diagnosis of viruses and bacteria that cause acute respiratory infections in dogs in shelters. Dr. Crawford's accomplishments include discovery of canine influenza virus and evaluation of diagnostic assays for feline immunodeficiency virus.
