AKC Canine Health Foundation Receives Fifth Consecutive 4-Star Rating from Charity Navigator
The AKC Canine Health Foundation is pleased to announce that Charity Navigator has awarded the Foundation its coveted 4-star rating for sound fiscal management for the fifth consecutive year. Charity Navigator is an independent accrediting agency responsible for guiding conscientious philanthropy. In the current competitive philanthropic environment, savvy donors turn to Charity Navigator to help them determine the accountability, transparency and quantifiable results of the charities they support.
“We are honored to receive this distinction,” says Dr. Terry Warren, CEO and General Counsel for the AKC Canine Health Foundation. “We are working hard to efficiently manage and grow our finances. Because of these efforts, we are able to fund more canine health research that will result in longer, healthier lives for our canine companions.”
Only four percent of all charities rated by Charity Navigator have received at least five consecutive 4-star evaluations. Ken Berger, President & CEO of Charity Navigator, says in his announcement to the Foundation, “[the] American Kennel Club Canine Health Foundation consistently executes its mission in a fiscally responsible way, and outperforms most other charities in America. This exceptional designation from Charity Navigator differentiates the Foundation from its peers and demonstrates to the public it is worthy of their trust.”
