About the President's Council
The President's Council is a strong network of volunteers throughout the country who are dedicated to our mission of helping dogs (and humans) live longer, healthier lives. These volunteers tirelessly spread the word about canine health research by visiting dog clubs, all-breed and specialty shows, and other groups interested in canine health. The members manage information tables, make presentations and discuss health issues with people about what the AKC Canine Health Foundation is doing for the future of our beloved dogs.
In 2010, members made presentations to numerous clubs and staffed nearly 25 information tables at dog shows and events across the country to spread the mission of the Foundation.
The members of the President's Council donate their time and energy and are not paid or reimbursed for their work. Their dedication increases support for our work to help all dogs live longer, healthier lives.
