Sharla Seidel
Sharla Seidel is the Marketing & Communications Manager for the AKC Canine Health Foundation. She earned her bachelor of arts from Syracuse University and her master of arts from California State University, Fresno.
Ms. Seidel has spent her career working with local and national nonprofit organizations including The United Way, The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, and a regional children’s hospital. In each of her roles she has managed fundraising campaigns, marketing and communications strategies, and special events. In her role as Marketing & Communications Manager for the AKC Canine Health Foundation she manages the Discoveries and HealthE-Barks newsletters, the annual report, social media, marketing, and public relations efforts.
Ms. Seidel is an avid photographer, a passionate college basketball fan, and an ardent supporter of her children’s sports activities. She resides in Raleigh with her husband, two sons, a dog, and a cat.
Help Future Generations of Dogs
Participate in canine health research by providing samples or by enrolling in a clinical trial. Samples are needed from healthy dogs and dogs affected by specific diseases.
