Sharla Seidel is the Development & Communications Manager for the AKC Canine Health Foundation. She earned her bachelor of arts from Syracuse University and her master of arts from California State University, Fresno.
Ms. Seidel has spent her career working with local and national nonprofit organizations including The United Way, The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, and a regional children’s hospital. In each of her roles she has managed fundraising campaigns, marketing and communications strategies, and special events. In her role as Development & Communications Manager for the AKC Canine Health Foundation she manages several of the Foundation’s development and communications programs including grant writing, online and print newsletters, the annual report, marketing, and public relations efforts.
Ms. Seidel is an avid photographer, a passionate college basketball fan, and an ardent supporter of her children’s sports activities. She resides in Raleigh with her husband, two sons, and a cat.
