Samantha Wright

Samantha Wright is the Program Manager for the AKC Canine Health Foundation.  Ms. Wright works with Shila Nordone, PhD, Chief Scientific Officer, to ensure the research and educational programs are efficently operated with effective communcations to all CHF supporters.

Ms. Wright graduated from University of New Hampshire with a degree in zoology which focused on animal physiology, genetics, and behavior as well as building interdisciplinary skills including communications and education.  She worked at the EMC Corporation in multiple roles for four years supporting the sales force, managing client relationships, and evaluating sale projections. She is excited to bring these corporate skills to an organization which shares her passion for the health and sport of dogs.

Samanatha comes to the Foundation with a life long love of dogs, especially for her family’s breed, the Gordon Setter.  Starting at a young age, Samantha participated in the raising and training of her Gordon Setter, Goose, who was a member of the family for fourteen years.

Over the past few years, Samantha has been active with multiple canine organizations in training, fostering and caring for dogs up and down the East coast.  She shares her home with her husband, Chris, and a German Shorthaired Pointer named Felton.
