Erica Kitchen is the Director of Development for the AKC Canine Health Foundation. After growing up in New York, Erica has now spent more than half of her life calling a southern state home. Erica earned her Bachelor of Science in Environmental Chemistry from Furman University and her Master of Arts in Women's Studies from Georgia State University.
Before starting with the AKC Canine Health Foundation in 2006, she served as Development Coordinator for CHRIS Kids in Atlanta, GA and Planned Parenthood of Central North Carolina, in Chapel Hill, NC. She is a member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals and has also volunteered with several other non-profit organizations.
Erica is responsible for the fundraising activities of the AKC Canine Health Foundation and the website.
In her free time, Erica enjoys reading, swimming and spending time with her family. She shares her home with her husband, Brendan, her son, Hayden, and her Labrador Retriever, Oliver.
