In addition to his duties on the AKC Canine Health Foundation Board of Directors, Dr. Howard Spey serves on the Foundation's Grants Committee. He graduated from New York University with a Bachelor of Arts degree and received his MD from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. He completed his residency in Anesthesiology at Bronx Municipal Hospital Center and is Certified by the American Board of Anesthesiologists. He is currently Associate Director of the Ambulatory Care Center at St. Barnabas Medical Center.
Dr. Spey is a breeder and exhibitor of Pointers and Borzoi. He is a member of the American Pointer Club, Morris and Essex Kennel Club, Somerset Hills Kennel Club and the Borzoi Club of America. Dr. Spey has served on the Board of Directors for the Pointer Club of New Jersey and the Borzoi Club of Central New Jersey.
He and wife, Karen, live in Oldwick, New Jersey.
