Connie Field is the Secretary of the AKC Canine Health Foundation. Connie grew up in Tarpon Springs, Florida. She earned a Bachelors degree in Business Administration from the University of South Florida and a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Tampa with a concentration in Finance. Connie worked in advertising as an account manager for approximately ten years with the companies Marketing Logic, Image Graphics and Precision Litho.
In 1995, Connie and her husband, Gene Field, founded Freethought Enterprises/AnimeNation, the largest retailer of Japanese Animation in the United States. In 2000 they went on to found AN Entertainment to license, produce, and distribute their own Anime titles. They established RentAnime Inc., in 2003 for online Anime rental based on the Netflix model.
Connie began exhibiting Havanese in 2000. Under the "Harbor" name Connie Field has produced over 30 champions, multiple all breed Best In Show winners and multiple number one ranked Havanese. She is a member of the Havanese Club of America and the Mid-Florida Havanese Club. Connie currently resides in Tampa, Florida.
